Around the world: Ay mi madre, Madrid

Hello again!
I spent the last days of 2015 in Madrid, visiting some friends and wandering around. I didn't take many pictures because I wanted to relax and to enjoy the city technology-free. However, we went for a vegan-pizza date in Ay mi madre one night and there I did take pictures in order to share them with you.

Ay mi madre is located in Calle Palma 41, in Malasaña neighborhood. The place is not very big, because it's dedicated to take away food (as well as delivery), but it also has some space to eat there. All their food is homemade and you can find pizzas, Argentine empanadas, salads, sandwiches, etc. Maybe it's not the most original place and food you'll ever find, but it's cool and cozy, the food is extremely tasty and, of course, they have vegan pizzas!

We were four people and we decided to eat two pizzas for three of us (the other guy ate a different thing). One of the pizzas was not vegan, but there is the option to change the normal cheese for vegan cheese, so we did that. It was "Fugazzeta" and the ingredients were onion marinated with oregano, as simple as that. And it was extremely delicious. Less is more! The other pizza was "Mediterranea" and the ingredients were caramelized onions, fresh spinach, sun dried tomatoes, black olives and olive oil. Also very good, but I must admit that I prefer the other one.

I era deliciosa! L'altra pizza era "Mediterranea" i portava ceba caramelitzada, espinacs frescos, tomàquet sec, olives negres i oli d'oliva.

Pizza "Fugazzeta" (8'50€ + 1€ for vegan cheese)

Pizza "Mediterranea" (13€)

To sum up, it is probably the best vegan pizza I've ever eaten up to now. So now you know, if you're wandering Madrid and you're hungry, don't hesitate to go to Ay mi madre, it's really worth it and not too expensive!

See you soon / Fins aviat
