The Dog is Hot, Barcelona

Hola de nou!

La setmana passada estava passejant pel centre de Barcelona, amb una mica de gana, i vaig passar pel davant d'un restaurant que ja coneixia però que mai hi havia entrat, The Dog is Hot. Vaig descobrir que tenen frankfurts i hot dogs vegans, així que vaig decidir provar-ne un (com debeu haver vist al nostre Instagram). Em va agradar tant, que dissabte hi vaig tornar i vaig fer-hi fotos per ensenyar-vos-el!

Last week I was starving, walking in the centre of Barcelona and I had a look in a restaurant I already knew but never really got in, which is The Dog is Hot. I discovered that they have vegan frankfurts so I tried one (as you may have seen in our Instagram). I like it so much, that I went back on Saturday and I took pictures to show it to you. 

Karakala

Barcelona is a great place to live if you are interested in gastronomy or just eating good food. There are plenty of different types of restaurants, kitchens from everywhere. Although temporally and economically it's impossible to eat all your meals outside, sometimes it's worth it wandering the streets and trying out new places. 

Not long ago, a friend discovered me the Lebanese restaurant Karakala. The place is in Gràcia, the number 136 at Torrent de l'Olla Street. It's quite big, calm and the food is delicious. You'll thank the mood if you're looking for a place where you don't need to speak loud to have a chat.

El Nadal és a tocar i toca comprar alguns regalets. Sí, ja ho sabem, el més important del Nadal és compartir i estar amb la família i els amics, etc. Però és quasi impossible trobar algú que no faci/rebi algun regal durant aquestes dates. SOPA, Barcelona

Last Wednesday we had lunch at Sopa, a vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Barcelona. It is located in 114 Roc Boronat street, in Poblenou neighbourhood. It provides good quality, healthy food, with a macrobiotic influence. If you wanna know more about it, keep reading!

Dimecres passat vam anar a dinar a Sopa, un restaurant vegà i vegetarià situat al carrer Roc Boronat 114, al barri del Poblenou. Ofereixen menjar saluable de qualitat, amb influència macrobiòtica i apte per a tots els paladars. Si en voleu saber més, seguiu llegint!

Matcha Tea (Latte) & Saló del Manga

Last Sunday I went to "Saló del Manga" in Barcelona. As every year, the meeting was really crowded and the options, multiple and diverse. There were some stands organized by publishing companies specialized in manga, by cinema producers, shops which sell figurines; informative stands; lectures by authors and creators; workshops about macrobiotic japanese food… Although you have to sign up to take part in some workshops because of the limited capacity, fortunately I could go to a sake tasting and a tea matcha tasting in which prior inscriptions weren't needed. This last one was organized by The Matcha House,  a company and online shop which also arranges person events, and it was really informative and illustrative.

Amapola Vegan Shop, Barcelona

Hello everyone and Happy World Vegan day!

Veganism is concerned not only about the food, but also about the products people use for their skin and the ones they wear. So it is difficult sometimes to know what to wear or where to shop. Luckily, people are more and more concerned about this topic and there are some vegan shops. Amapola Vegan Shop is one of those. I discovered it about a year ago and I am completely in love with it!

El veganisme es preocupa no només pel menjar, sinó també pels productes de la pell i la roba i complements. Però, a l'hora de vestir-se, és difícil a vegades saber on anar o quines marques/productes comprar. Per sort, cada dia més gent està conscienciada del tema i hi ha més botigues veganes. Una d'elles és Amapola Vegan Shop. La vaig descobrir fa aproximadament un any i no en puc estar més enamorada!

DIY Kimono - How I styled it

Hello lovelies! As I promised you, here you have some ways I styled the kimono I made myseld (you can see the blogpost here). As you'll see in the descriptions of the pictures, not all my clothes are sustainable or vegan, but these are some old items which I think it wouldn't be suistainabe either to throw them away when they're still OK and I still love them. 

Hola bonics i boniques! Com us vaig prometre, aquí us deixo algunes fotos de les peces amb què he convidat el kimono que em vaig fer (podeu veure l'entrada de com fer-lo aquí). Com veureu a les descripcions de les fotos, no totes les peces són de sostenibles o veganes, ja que són peces velles que penso que no seria sostenible llençar (o donar) ja que encara estan en bon estat i m'agrada. 

XXXena Feria Vegana

Hello everybody!

As we informed in our Facebook page, this weekend took place in Barcelona the 30th Vegan Fair. What is exactly Vegan Fair? It started as a group of vegan projects that decided to join to create the fair, a monthly event where they offer a wide variety of home-made products. Most of the products are food, but there're also some natural beauty products (very interesting ones, btw), some clothes,... 

Moreover, every month there are some workshops, speeches, dj sessions... In this one, there was a concert from El niño vegano and a speech about Exotic animals. Everything very interesting!

Bona nit Barcelona 2015

Hello everybody!
So this last weekend took place in Barcelona the music festival Bona nit Barcelona and we were there, yayy! It was its third year and in order to celebrate the first anniversary of Glories Square it changed its original location (Poble Espanyol) to this more centrical, best communicated space. Moreover, this year was free, with an invitation (It has its pros and its cons, but for us it has obviously more pros!).
